Abby Jeanne & The Shadowband

Abby Jeanne & The Shadowbandis a NYC based indie/garage soul band, birthed in 2024 asthe latest project by frontwoman Abby Jeanne. Raised in Milwaukee by her theatrical parents byday and a degenerate rock and roll café by night, she was immersed in music, rebellion, andspectaclefrom the start. Shaped by her unconventional upbringing and years of being a solo artist, she eventually crafted the Shadowband Universe.

The sounds of The Shadowband drift between wailing, soulful vocals reminiscent of Etta Jamesand the gritty cool of The Velvet Underground, wrapped in subtle odes to garage, surf, soul, and psychedelia. Abby Jeanne's songwriting feels like stepping inside a bewitched jukebox-where heartbreak, mystery, and teenage dreams collide. Think Roy Orbison meets The Ramones, with swooning melodies tangled in fuzzy guitars, punk rock attitude, and undeniably catchy pop choruses. Also drawing influence from '60s girl groups like The Ronettes and The Shangri-Las,the band masterfully balances serious storytelling with a playful, campyedge - inviting you into a cinematic world of vibrant, unfiltered energy.

Since debuting in London March '24, The Shadowband have toured the UK with Say She She and shared bills with The Make-Up, Bush Tetras, The Mummies, Shannon & the Clams and The Nude Party.
